Strevio’s post rating system provides a straightforward and intuitive grading scale to help you understand the performance of your posts compared to the median performance of your posts over a selected period. The grading system uses six grades: A++, A, B, C, D, and E.
Performance Factor
This is a measure of how well a particular post performed compared to other recent posts. It’s calculated by comparing the performance of a specific post to the median performance of posts from the past seven days.
Median performance: The median is the middle point in a set of numbers. In this context, it’s the middle value of post performances from the last seven days. Half of the posts will have performed better than the median, and half will have performed worse.
Comparing a post to the median performance: When we say a post’s performance is compared to the median, we mean that the post’s performance is divided by the median performance. This gives a ratio, or a performance factor.
Interpretation of the performance factor: If the performance factor is 1, that means the post performed exactly at the median. If the performance factor is more than 1, the post performed better than the median. The higher the performance factor, the better the post performed compared to other recent posts. If the performance factor is less than 1, the post performed worse than the median.
Grade assignment: The performance factor is then used to assign a grade to the post. The grading system is designed so that posts with higher performance factors (those that performed better compared to other posts) receive higher grades.
Grading Criteria
Here’s how each grade is calculated based on the performance factor:
- A++: A post receives an A++ grade when the performance factor is 3 or greater.
- A: A post receives an A grade when the performance factor is 1.5 or greater but less than 3.
- B: A post receives a B grade when the performance factor is 1.2 or greater but less than 1.5.
- C: A post receives a C grade when the performance factor is 1 or greater but less than 1.2.
- D: A post receives a D grade when the performance factor is between -1.7 and 1.
- E: A post receives an E grade when the performance factor is less than -1.7.
By using these grades, you can quickly gauge how well your posts are performing relative to your typical post performance.
